BAMBAKO was created in February 2009 by Abigail Ricarte who just wanted something pretty to control her mess of an asymmetrical haircut that was in that awkward growing out phase.
Bambako (pronunciation: bum-BAH-koe) is derived from her nickname “bambina” and “ko,” which translates to “my” in Tagalog. In effect, she named her company, “my baby.”
Abigail is inspired by pretty scenes, pretty songs, Martha Stewart, and her grandmothers.
